Tammie Grimm, M.Div (Asbury Theological Seminary), Th.M. (Princeton Theological Seminary), Ph.D. (University of Manchester/Nazarene Theological College)
Thesis: 'Holy and Holistic Transformation: The Practice of Wesleyan Discipleship and Transformative Learning Theory', (NTC), 2017.
Revd Grimm proposes that Wesleyan discipleship, historically understood, constitutes a practice of Christian living consistent with the work of Alasdair MacIntyre. Drawing on contemporary adult educational theory, she explores how Wesleyan discipleship and transformative learning theory inform one another, thus offering implications for doing theological reflection to guide and inform disciples who seek Christlikeness in the ways they love God and offer God’s love to the world.
Revd Grimm worked under the direction of Dr Phil Meadows at NTC. She is an ordained deacon in full connection with the North Carolina Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
