The MWRC will host two online book launches in June 2023. A book launch of John Maiden’s Age of the Spirit: Charismatic Renewal, the Anglo-World, and Global Christianity, 1945-1980 (OUP, 2022) was on Wednesday 7 June featured responses to the book from Drs David Bebbington and Leah Payne. A book launch of Christopher H. Evans’s Do Everything: The Biography of Frances Willard (OUP, 2022) was on Saturday 10 June and featured responses to the book from Drs Annemarie McAllister, Randall J. Stephens, and Carole Spencer. The MWRC co-hosted the ‘Heirs of Pietism in World Christianity: The 19th to the 21st Centuries’ conference in Dayton, Ohio, in June 2022.

The MWRC hosted a joint conference—’Reforming the Churches: From John Wesley to the Fourfold Gospel’—with the Global Institute of the Fourfold Gospel Theology (Seoul Theological University) on 21 October 2019.

A lecture titled 'Wesleyan Social Holiness, African Methodism, and the U. S. Civil Rights Movement' was given by Dr Dennis C. Dickerson on Tuesday 1 April 2014 on the campus of Nazarene Theological College. 

The 21st Annual Meeting of the Charles Wesley Society on the theme of 'Charles Wesley as Correspondent' met at Nazarene Theological College from 18-20 July 2010. For the programme, click here

A lecture by Ted Campbell, Associate Professor of Church History at Southern Methodist University, was given on 10 May 2010. The lecture was titled 'John Wesley's Disconnections, 1756-1760'.

16-18 June 2009: 'Religion, gender, and industry: Exploring Church and Methodism in a Local Setting', an international conference co-sponsored by the MWRC.

A lecture by Randy Maddox, William Kellon Quick Professor of Wesleyan and Methodist Studies at Duke Divinity School, was given at Nazarene Theological College on 5 May 2009. The lecture was titled: 'Holistic Salvation: A Widening Theme in Wesley's Theology'.

May 2006: Madeley Day Colloquium featuring papers presented by scholars on John and Mary Fletcher and the parish of Madeley.
