The research examines the intersection between John Wesley’s theologies of Christian Perfection and the church, and the extent to which each was informed and shaped by the other.
General Interests: Stephen lives with his wife, Lynley, and their two children in South London. Stephen and Lynley serve together as Officers in The Salvation Army, where appointments have seen them based in London, Swindon, Manchester, and Australia. Prior to training for ministry, Stephen and Lynley served in various leadership roles within their local Salvation Army church. His previous profession in Information Technology concluded as an international project manager for a global news and financial information company, working across Europe, North America and Asia. When he isn’t studying the writings of John Wesley, he enjoys reading fiction, cinema, the theatre, Manchester United and Surrey Cricket Club.
